The Gourmet Collection draws its inspiration from my mother’s impeccable style, kindness and warmth. As a little girl, I held deep admiration for my mother’s ability to care for others, her sense of style and her passion for exceptional cuisine, among other qualities. It was her unmistakable and singular elegance and gentle warrior-like strength that served as the driving force behind the creation of the African Flame Lily Collection.

Luxury Collection takes cues from cherished memories – from a piece that my mother had adorned in the 90s to elements inspired by the intricate handmade paintings found in the vicinity of the emir’s palace in Kano. It also pays homage to the vibrant tie dye fabrics that adorn the 500-year-old dyeing pits in the ancient northern city of Kano. This amalgamation of influences is intended to evoke a sense of style and tranquillity, creating an oasis of calm within the design.
