METHOD: Add 200ml of water to 200g Hajiya’s Akara Mix. Stir in 1/2 a chopped scotch bonnet pepper and 1/4 medium sized onion (optional). Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a sauce pan to 190 degrees C (375 F). Add scoops of the batter into the hot oil, turning over frequently, until golden brown. Leave to cool for 5 minutes.
